At lunch in the country today - a little town called Stia, north of Arezzo, east of Florence about an hour.

Jane's grandparents called and left a happy birthday message. They sang the birthday song and mentioned a gift at the end. This is what Vonage did to it:

"Goddamn school and you know I pray told you to cooling the today. I'm here uncle are you and and I I don't know who really I mean and will talk to you soon on. We are a transfer for a a credit on large lunch or you kinda Jane and I didn't get out of time. Blah blah and..."

Sort of like some Michael Stipe lyrics when he was on his game (I can hear Burroughs reading this in my head), or maybe a Dada stage performance.

On a hot day in August we drove down to Panzano to jump in the pool of our friend Cosimo at Fattoria Rignana. Of course, it started to rain not long after!

I think I have to come up with a new word that describes things you find on your computer - digital ephemera - that you have no recollection of: files, photos, video clips, etc. that most times I can't even remember taking or making. I just came across this picture of us on our bed in St. Thomas. I was using my old Sony Hi-8 cam as a web cam, and I guess this was a test screen cap. Why this was in a folder for a Mexican website I was working on I have no idea...

Here is Jane from 2002 - I just found this movie on my iDisk which was a pleasant surprise. I don't even remember taking it!

Jane started a blog a while ago and she appears to be as much of a procrastinator as me - it hasn't seen a new post since August 07. I am after her about it and trying to get her to email some of her friends.
